Ski Castle, also known as “Ski Castle Maine” is a fabulous, large vacation rental located at Powder Ridge, Maine, just 3 miles from the slopes at Sunday River. This modern mountain home is your gateway to adventure. You can ski or snowboard on Mt. Abram or the Black Mountain of Maine in winter. You can also hike, golf or swim, and retreat to comfort and luxury after an action-packed day. Ski Castle highlights: a private hot tub, a custom-built sauna and a cozy outdoor fire pit – perfect for evening s’mores and stargazing.

“The house and location were as advertised. Fantastic home. Accommodated 5 adults and 5 kids (with room for more) with ease. Everything we needed to make a Christmas dinner was easily found in the kitchen. The fireplace really heated the place up. The hot tub was frequently used after two long days of skiing (a 10 minute drive to the mountain). The restaurant and in town recommendations were spot on, including the grocery store in town. Diana was incredibly responsive. We received 6 inches of snow during our stay. Diana was quick to let us know about the plowing and shoveling service. The roads were plowed and salted/sanded making for an easy ride in and out of the location. We had a fantastic time in this fantastic house.”

“The house and space are welcoming and comfortable. The multiple levels of the living/dining/kitchen space are challenging for a person with mobility issues, but we managed, and it was worth the effort. The openness of that area and the light filled space on a sunny day are lovely. The artwork is stunning and plentiful! The kitchen is modern and well supplied. We were there Christmas week, cold and snowy, so we weren’t out much, but the area has excellent restaurants, and a really good cafe just across the street. It was a perfect place for us to stay and welcome other family members for time together during the holidays.”

The house was great, nicely decorated and very well stocked with everything we needed. Diana was very responsive to any questions we had and super friendly. They even brought over an extra heater for one of the bedrooms right after I contacted them about it. We would definitely stay there again when we return to the area.”

“We had a wonderful experience at the Caste Lodge! The home is beautiful and inviting. Lots of space with lots to do! They put a lot of thought into detail and it was so appreciative. The hot tub and fire pit were an absolute must and did not disappoint! Diana and Simon were excellent hosts.
